BSS Website Admin Notes
This page is for notes that will be useful for other people to update or administer the website. You can edit the page in the main admin area under Pages.
- Log into the WP Admin dashboard.
- Select Pages -> All Pages -> Admin Notes page
- Select Edit in Block Editor
- Edit the “Toggles Block” by clicking on the paintbrush icon
- On the left side, you can edit each toggle section or add new toggles and content. Drag toggles area to change order.
To access this page on the main website click the Vk icon next to the facebook icon in the bottom left corner (under Social Media heading).
The price per flight is fixed by the product cost set in the Products -> All Products (only one product has been setup so far.
The multiple pricing setup is controlled by the price formula setup in the Number of Flights control (as a percentage of base cost). You will find this under Products -> Extra Product Options. Then click the Edit button for “numberofflights” field. The select the “Basic Info” tab.
The next Abinito course title (with the dates) and the details are displayed on both the Home page and the Learn to Fly Page (under About Gliding menu). These are “Global blocks” (as shown by the “world” icon in the top right corner when edited using the Block Editor. So if you change this on one of the pages, the other page will also be updated.
You can see this in Appearance -> Global Options -> Custom CSS. Make sure that you comment any changes.
The phone numbers and email address are embedded in PHP snippets. Use the XYZ PHP Code plugin to change the values. These code snippets are embedded in multiple pages and will update automatically.
If the slider on the main page disappears then here is how to fix this:
- Open the WordPress backend
- Under Pages -> All Pages: Find the Home page
- Choose Edit in Block Editor
- Scroll down to the Avada Page Options area (at the bottom)
- Select the Sliders tab on the left
- Set Slider Type = Layer Slider
- Set LayerSlider = Simple Fullscreen Slider (#1)
- Save the page.
